Story of Kenwood

Heritage Lottery Fund
Kenwood is one of Britian's most famous and iconic brands.

Starting in 1947 under the leadership of Kenneth Wood, the company has grown into a global business and the Kenwood Chef sits in kitchens all over the world. Due to expansion the company relocated from Woking to Havant and the company continued to grow.

Telling the story of an iconic brand

We were commissioned by The Spring Arts & Heritage Centre to research and produce a documentary on this iconic brand, to speak with those that worked there and those that still do to tell the story of Kenwood and why it remains so important to the people of Havant today.

Meeting and listening to those that were there from the beginning
After extensive research and story finding sessions, we met with ex-employees of the company and captured their stories. We met with people who worked throughout the business from the factory floor, foremen, accounts to the senior management team from the 1960s to present day.
