Portsmouth City Council approached us to create a fresh edit for the ‘Invest Portsmouth’ video.

The first video was created in 2022 with an updated cut in 2023. Portsmouth is a historic and proud maritime city recognised as a global centre for marine, aerospace, and defence industries. It's also our local city so we were excited to go and capture new footage of the sites.

The Brief

Creating a standout video

Our brief was to create a video highlighting the reasons why businesses should see Portsmouth as a viable place to move to and invest in. This would be played at a number of exhibits all around the world so we had to create something that would be eye-catching and stand out in a loud and busy environment.

Filming & Editing

Showcasing a busy and vibrant city

We filmed the content over two days with a jam packed schedule covering all things Portsmouth - from the infamous My Dog Sighs graffiti, Hotwalls and Spice Island, to the iconic Spinnaker Tower and Gunwharf Quays. We used a combination of buildings, scenic and people shots to show the array of sites and culture within the city. Key points that those looking to visit, work, study or invest in the city might want to know were shown as text including transportation links and regeneration plans.

The impact

Giving Portsmouth a global platform

The final 2 minute video has been played on Portsmouth City Council’s YouTube channel hundreds of times and watched by many across the globe at exhibitions. Watch this space to see how the city develops in the future!
