Havant's Heroes, supported by The National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund, is a project that tells the stories of soldiers listed on Havant's War Memorial who lost their lives through the First World War.
Overview
Mentoring students from Havant & South Downs College to create this film and learn new skills.
Over the past 9 months we have been working with students from Havant College in training them in many aspects of film production from research, scripting, storyboarding through to camera, lighting and editing workshops. The film was crewed exclusively by the students with Millstream acting as mentors.
The format
A presenter led film that introduces experts
To produce this film, we worked with Holly, a student from Havant & South Downs College, who presented the film and conducted all interviews on camera. This added a common thread throughout the film and another level of engagement. Other students played roles in flashbacks and re-enactment scenes.
