On 2nd and 3rd July 2026, Ben will push his limits and cycle 256 miles around the perimeter of Hampshire AND the Isle of Wight. His journey will take him across two days, throughout the night, and on a ferry to and from the island.
We asked Ben to tell us more about this challenge that he plans to complete in approximately 20 hours and how people can get involved:
What charity are you raising money for?
I’m raising money for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance - an incredible charity that delivers an advanced Critical Care Team to sick and injured people in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight when they need it most.
Available both day and night, 365 days a year, the Air Ambulance Critical Care Team is called out an average of seven times a day to attend road traffic collisions, sporting accidents, collapses and many other incidents.
I’ve set a target of £10,500 which will fund three life-saving missions.
Why are you taking on this challenge?
I spent two days inside the aircraft recently, following the crew from the start of their shift to the end. What unfolded over that 10 hours will never leave me. I saw firsthand the dedication and urgency with which the crew operates for ordinary people like you and me. They brought critical care to the patients and really did bring an ICU to the roadside.
They are superheroes flying in the sky above us.
How can people support you?
I'm asking for businesses and individuals to support either through donating, sharing the message, or even riding with me on a section of the route.
For those in business: if you donate £1,000, Millstream Productions will create a free promotional video for you. For donations of £500, we will offer a complimentary photoshoot. This way, your support not only helps save lives but also elevates your business visibility. Every penny will go to the charity. Email me at ben@millstreamproductions.com for more information.
Every mile I pedal matters; every donation makes a difference. Together, we can keep the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance flying and saving lives.
Donations can be made here - thank you for your support.
