The Airport wanted to use professional high-impact assets that would complement their press release and make people stand up and notice, particularly as easyJet is such a well-known, visually-recognised brand.

The shoot took place airside at Southampton International Airport in between two flight schedules which required us to be efficient with minimal interference with the flight staff’s operation.

Like the passengers, we also had to go through airport security regardless of our visitor status and being chaperoned by members of staff - a testament of the great work Southampton Airport’s staff does to keep all service users safe and flights on schedule.

As is the case with any outdoor shoot, we had to be prepared for typical British weather. The forecast presented challenging conditions with a potential for a light drizzle and overcast, flat conditions which had to be considered when shooting.

We photographed members of the Southampton International Airport and easyJet teams in front of one of their Airbus A320 aeroplanes where they presented the three new routes - Edinburgh, Malaga, and La Rochelle - on custom signs held up by team members. Millstream’s photographer, Gábor, also took creative charge to produce a handful of lifestyle images for easyJet as passengers boarded the aircraft.
