Hayling Billy Memories

Client: Heritage Lottery Fund

The Hayling Billy is a Victorian train line that linked Havant and Hayling Island between 1865 and 1963. The revered steam train and the scenic journey was an integral part of local peoples lives.

We worked with the Spring Arts & Heritage Centre in Havant to produce a documentary about the Hayling Billy line, capturing stories from local residents who used to work and travel on the steam train, and who now use the trail as it is today. There is huge support behind remembering the Hayling Billy, which made it’s last journey over 50 years ago.
